Generational Succession Planning
Passing a business or estate to the next generation with intention, clear titling and coordinated professional input.
What happens to a family business or estate without a plan
When an owner or a parent steps back, or dies, without a written plan, the decisions fall to whoever is in the room: a spouse in grief, children who see the business differently, sometimes a court that never met the family. Nobody did anything wrong. An open question simply stays open.
Succession planning is the work of answering those questions while you can still answer them yourself. Who takes the wheel, who receives what, and how the people left behind find out before it matters.
Bruno E. Pouliot plans with businesses, professionals and families from his practice in Chattanooga, and meets clients by phone or Zoom anywhere in the continental USA.

Generational wealth transfer, titling and legacy goals
Generational Wealth Transfers is one of the planning modules Bruno walks clients through: passing assets to heirs with intention and simplicity. In practice that means looking at how each asset is titled, whom each beneficiary designation actually names, and whether both still match what you want to leave behind.
Legacy goals come before paperwork. Should the business stay in the family, be sold, or be run by someone else while the family keeps the proceeds? Should heirs receive equal shares, or fair ones? Those are different answers, and they lead to different plans.
The related modules, Protecting Estates for Family and Heirs and Tax & Estate Objectives in Retirement, sit alongside it. Bruno brings in the credentialed advisors on his team (attorneys, CPAs, CFPs and real estate advisors) as your situation calls for them.
Documenting the plan and reviewing it as the family changes
A plan that lives in one person's head is not a plan. The goal is a clear set of decisions that your successors, your attorney and your CPA can all find and read, written in plain language first and legal language second.
Families change. Children marry, a business grows or is sold, someone's health shifts. That is why Bruno's process includes regular check-ins, so the plan is reviewed against your life as it is now and not as it was when you first sat down.
We Don't Offer Legal Advice, Nor Tax Advice! Your attorney drafts and files the documents, and your CPA confirms the tax treatment. Bruno's role is education and coordination: making sure each professional is working from the same picture of what you want.

Planning that sits next to succession
Succession rarely stands alone. Many families pair it with estate planning and philanthropic planning, and begin with the teaching in financial education and guidance. You can also read how Bruno works or start with the Free Financial Health Review.
